CRUSSSHING AT PLO! BEST DAY IN 3 YEARS

Incredible results! +17,6 bb/100 in all in EV, +26,8 bb/10 in actual result :).
Haha title said it all. So I have been running just incredibly crazy since ive returned to europe. I have been playing at a few different network, again, I cannot understand why people keep to one site. I have been playing at around 25c/50c PLO and one of the network is just infested with nits, 90% of the tables have 4-5 nits that have 20k hands+ on while on the other network is just filled with fish! This network was popular like 5+ years ago in Sweden but i havnt heard people grinding there for a very long time. Good for me!

The same thing happened btw in regards to Merge. I kept telling people to harvest the goldmine that was merge like 4 years ago, it was just insane with average table vpip over 55% but then it took like a year until every grinder switched to merge and it became rockheaven. Anyways, my suggestion is to play all sites with around 40-70% cashback, use tablescanner turbo and see what tables are good. If a lot of hhs and stuff like that is important then just do 3-4 days of overall grind, determine what sites are good and use 1-3 of them. It was day and nite this time but even the tightest of sites offers good tables at times, depending on the stakes of course!

Anyways. I havnt played the best poker of my life really but I have won shitloads very very quick. I have just been hit over the head with cards, topsets, multiway all ins-wins and the winrate for the last 5k hands is over 100 bb/100 which obviously is sick :D. Yesterday I came to a 10c/20c table with 20€ and left with 380€. Hehe a large portion of the win though was a shot I took with 133€ at 1/2€ and left with 1910€ :D. I understand that this cannot last and I have to be less overwhelmed over the rungood and the downfall can come quick.

I am about to make a yearly report soon though and I might talk about that in this blog too. 2007-2008 was a great year for me pokerwise but 2009-2012 has been a battle uphill and I learned a lot regards to keeping the stakes low, producing volume, refrain from autopiloting, discipline, life-work-balance etc. That becomes very apparent when you check the different types of stats throughout the years. I am not going to dwell on past years too much but like every year there is something new ive learned. I would though argue that I have a lot of sklansky bucks due to huge amounts of bad luck, especially at higher stakes. Even if I could have had a decent salary keeping myself at $3/6-5/10 then I cannot really regret TOO MUCH taking shots at higher stakes even though some years I lost all of the profit at 50/100$. God, now I am getting too tired of talking. Good thing I just won a welcome amount of cash getting a lot more luckier than average. Now it just remains about 250k$ :D.

I might do something more structured for the yearly report but not sure how much info I want to be public. We will see!

EDIT: Days after writing this I had a similar winning day and just kept crushing :).

Random update, christmas times etc and reviewing live and online poker.

Yo! Whats up? November recently finished and it started out pretty well but then ended up with a losing month. I won 300$ online but lost like 1100$ live. That stuff just happens, I guess I am kinda happy that I won in PLO but also the fact that I have won 4 months in a row in regards to online. Going back to Europe on the 20th and returning on the 6th january so after christmas I will likely grind quite a lot. Hope to do well, gonna start with 2/4$ and PLO25$ a little, or perhaps nothing actually, depending on the action.

I often mention that I keep kinda detailed stats, I love the new HM2-sync feature. Anyways, I win every year online but the opposite is true for live, ive lost the last 4 years in a row. I dont take it as a sign, or I kinda do in some ways. I play like 5-20 nights per year and u know, its very few hands an hour. So if I average 10 nights at 8 hours play with 15 hands per hour then I would have played 4800 hands live last 4 years. I  also tend to play a lot higher then I have played like would online. I kinda motivated playing live to myself that it was fun and I could read but I realize now that both is kinda wrong. Its only fun when u win or if it is a chatty table and 90% its neither and there is very little effective reading going on, these 3-4 second spurs of folding ur cards, grabbing them etc distracts at least me kind of a lot. Decided now that I wont play any live till I earn some more cash that I can "splash around" with. And with like, money to lose, I set the limit at like 20/40$ FLSH or so. We will see!

Checked some year stats but gonna do a review of all that when I have christmas vacation and the year actually have ended. Might publish it, might not. Won a pretty nice 18 bb/100 the last 10k hands on PLO but then realized that I lost like 40 BB/100 the 10k hands before that so.. yeah. Nevermind. ttyl!

Assface drop

Noooo! So I was kinda happy doing well for november, had a pretty decent hourly etc. Kinda blev all of that last 2 playing days.

Whatever, shit happens. Funny to lose that much in 83 hands. The rest today was lost 100$ish on PLO mostly on an all in TTxx vs A35x on T62 (obv 4 on river but he had a flushdraw too) but then I kinda spewed 180$ in NLHE.

That kinda ruined my mood for poker but Ive booked a flight back to europe for christmas so I will book a little profit for november, then play sparsely in december with the studies ending and then try to grind as well as get a nice vacation, I am thinking 50/50 play/fun.

Room Review; Palamor Card Club, San Diego, CA

Promotions; 40$ Earlybird special + badbeat jackpot
Rake; 5$ drop (per hand!!)
City: San Diego (central)
Date of review: Nov 2013
Other; Dealers frequently play in the games.

I played at Palomar card club yesterday at the 2/3$ game btw. Let do a review of that place. So El Cajon road is a semi-rundown road with some non-appealing bars and restaurants and an old 60's-sign. I walked up that road finding Palomar on the top of the hill and it doesnt look special. I read the reviews and they are, as usual, pretty correct.

They have paigow, blackjack I think but mainly poker is played. The games that have been running the 2 times ive been there is 2/3$ NLHE, 3/6$ FLHE, I believe 10/20 PLO (not sure if it was running but it was on the board) and perhaps 5/10$ NLHE as well. The rake is 5$ no matter the potsize. People say its standard in California but the argument that "its okay because that is what everybody else is charging" doesnt really quite fly. You must enjoy poker A LOT to play at the lower stakes with that rake. Add up the times you get AKo vs JJ-AA and take out  1,67 BB and you wont have much edge even if you are Phil Ivey. Regarding the game quality then it would have been a good game online but IMO kinda tight and not fun live. Very hard to exploit the loads of people that play weaktight given that high rake.
They also spread very very high games (last night was 600/1200$ mixed games with a very famous player btw) which is kinda cool :).

Some people commented on rude staff and especially the owner. I found him to be nice but then again, I rarely have attitude problems given that I am usually polite and friendly.

Dealers that play in the games (continue below if you dont care about why its wrong)
What was more disturbing though is the fact that the dealers played. Find any type of cheating extremly unlikely (even though the dealer got run over by the deck and busted me last time, haha lol) but it feels weird with dealers playing and they also have an semi-unfair advantage by dealing to the same players they play against (they collect information  about the players game without giving away any themselves).

The biggest problem with that though is not really any of the above, it is just that they will be very boring opponents since 9 of 10 are supertight.

(Continuation)
All in all I had a better experience playing in any room in Vegas given a) the rake was lower b) you also get free drinks! c) the atmosphere was nicer IMO and d) the games were a lot looser and then e) If you are like me and want to play higher then 2/3 but lower then 5/10 then you are obviously out of luck. Maybe free drinks would compensate but then again, there are tons of cardrooms worldwide that charges more rake and also has less tables.

I will personally come back when/if I would play a bit higher stakes.

Vegas part 2 and crusssshing it!

Yo people! So I went to Vegas just recently and withdrew my skrill balance. Unfortunatly that cash arrived my last day in vegas but whatever, the bare $500 cash I brought survived for a little 8/16 and 10/20 FLSH as well as some 1/3 NLHE. Got completly shitfaced during a small winning session and ended up doing something I would kinda regret. I am trying to think though that bad stuff happening to you gives you some sort of balance and makes you human.

Played 10/20$ the other day and noticed old-style poker again, long time ive seen that. Like late position steal, I call on BB and flop A96 comes and I c/r K6o and get a fold either on flop or turn from a huge range. Online has come to this situation where any flopped pair might call you down all the way and you have very little fold equity so you stop doing that too loosely. But now you can run people over again without spewing away chips! It is still full ring though but I thought I played it well.

Anyways! I am down 500ish dollars this month live, no biggie. What is better is online, specifically today! So this friday I was overintoxicated and normally I can handle my stuff well but it turned out I embarrsed myself more than I have ever done. Perhaps not to the most important people (thank god) but in the worst way at least. So why do I mention that? Well because the pokergods compensated me today by giving me cards to win 1120$ in like 90 minutes :D:D:

800$ish I won at this mobile pokersite that just have awesome value at NLSH (even I can win) while the rest was at PLO and FLHE. Got some cash from other sources just recently and hooked up a good way to go to the oceans11-casino so I hope to go and play some 15/30$ FLSH there soon. Have set a kinda strict BR-rules so if the first session goes bad it might be the end of live poker for this year.

October update; Played very little my first month in the US.

Whatsaap!?
Now I have been in the US for one month. So I generally played very little poker, still havnt registered for any US-facing site really but one good site still offers me service and the plan now is to play FLSH + PLO simultanously (before I try to seperate them) and that works pretty fine. I won a huge 70$ while I lost 400$ one night playing live.

Reevaluated the idea of playing at oceans 11 (google maps showed the wrong timing, 2 hours is actually just 1 hour) but I am still waiting for two big transfers. Its very possible ill play there on the weekends, depending on how it goes obviously. Gonna take out 3k$ and possibily play 15/30$ FLSH or so. Low roll but dont mind busting.

Will possibly try to go to vegas to when time allows but again, I try to focus on schools and its enough for me to play 3-4 months per year during summer and the christmas break. Feel very excited about poker again and I am already excited when I get time off and can put in huge volume.

I have been very disorganized btw, trying to find my daily routines etc so I hope to get my shit together and use my time more effectively and perhaps then I will be able to handle school, have a nice social life + poker too.

Really good september + Moving to the US

Yoyo!
PLO res
FLSH-results

So september was great. Spend 2 weeks travelling as I mentioned, came 3rd in a tourney and had a nice WR at both PLO and FLHE. I am especially happy about the PLO-result even though it is lol samplesize and I also ran very good :D.

Up 20 buyins after 6k hands, 9 buyins in EV at PLO.
13k FLSH was played and was up a nice 2.55 BB/100.
I tried to pull up my stats for the mixed games (2,8k hands or so) but couldnt figure out how pokeit works in that regard.

Excluded more or less HU which made the results more stable. All in all I feel great about the summer, I checked some stats. So I played 74k hands at low stakes and won a shy 0.3 BB/100. Filter out the HU though and it rises up 0.8 BB/100 which, considering a bad august + very very high rake to be kinda neat. 195 hours in total (maybe 95% correct) and won 7 out of 9 weeks.

At the stakes of 1/2-3/6 then it doesnt really amount to a fortune but def a nice addition for a student and I definetly proven that a) I am still a winning player b) I dont have to get a normal job next summer. I am also now rolled to play slightly higher next summer and the expected EV by playing 1/2 in comparison to 3/6 and 5/10 is not just 3-5x as high but more, considering the rake.

So the idea now is to find some american sites, play PLO there and also play live poker. The amount of time I will play live will prob depend on what kind of studying is required for my subjects. If it is a lot of reading etc then I can easily do that while playing but if it will be more project-based then perhaps there will be very little time for poker. A very good thing is that one of the busiest cardrooms with suitable stakes is very very close to my school and where I intend to live :). I think I will put between 2k-3k and form a "live bankroll" and play some FLSH but mainly NL and would be kinda nice to grow it from there. Play O8 and mixed games but obv these play a lot higher so it might be wishful thinking.

Gonna fly on friday, start school on monday so I guess I can grind some but I expect the following weeks to be kinda pokerfree and priority will now change to be 70% school, 15% socializing, 10% working out and 5% poker.

Disciplined man. Summer-grind approaching the end.

Yoyo! Whattapp!? So Ive continued grinding and it's been good. I had a great day with up 722$, and some others too. I am pretty happy with being up 3183$ in play (2150ish is the tourney :D), especially since I feel like ive been playing my b-game a lot when I am doing some mixed games and also tourneys. I need to keep the games separate.

Anyways, so sunday was up and I had to defend my place but unfortunatly I went out kinda early. Went very deep in a big tourney at stars.es but was a bit spewy in bad spots which was kinda undiscplined but then I went out with 1,5 average stack close to ITM with AQ vs JJ and that was that. Decided that I will only use my fpps/pps for mtts, never gonna pay the 215$ or whatever, feels like an okay balance.

So I was deep in one then and that forced me to play a very long session. You can see that it was 4,5h or so and I normally only play 2h:ish. I am really happy with my comeback, the wtsd/w$sd is probably the sickest (I know its easy to say this a lot) considering the 2,5k actually played but I won this mega-hand of 280€ or so in PLO and then kept my focus and also run a lot over EV (finally!) and managed to go from -650$ to -33$ for a long day of 3812 hands and 8 hours. I lost 450$ in tourneytickets that i didnt pay for but got like 200$ in rakeback so I dunno. It was an okay day but like that I kept my spirits up.

Its very easy btw to keep spirits up when you had recent success. I know success is a bit strong word but relative to my living style etc then I am happy with what I have earned this summer, mainly in end of july but now then also early september which august being shitty. It doesnt feel like a waste of time and I noticed today that I dont get down being stuck 200 BBs or whatever. Great feeling.

Booked a vacation now to Japan and prob gonna bring the laptop but grinding will prob not happen that much. I expect one more grinding week and then that is it before going to the US.
What a comeback, long monste-rgrind

I was also about to post some mixed game result but I was suprised of how few hands ive actually played. I have around 300 hands of each game. Its kinda irrelevant in that sense but im winning at fl08, razz, nlhe while losing at the stud and stud08 as well as triple draw. Anyways, gonna start later on to actually check stats and some stuff, I love stats :D.

Nice start to september: Deep cash at final table mixed game + 640$ in cashgame

Yo! Another week, another dollar. Several dollars in fact! Been kinda dismotivated getting pwned by partypoker but also running bad last week and august in general after a great start. Last week I lost 714$ in play in 12 hours. Thought I played more though :P.

Anyways, I realized that I prob wont reach platinum in september and thought I use my FPPs for tournaments. I got this unexploitive shovechart that takes into your position, stacksize, with or without antes and it appears that you can openshove unexploitively up to 26 BBs which is like 90% of alla tournaments. That means a losing proposition obviously given the rake and that you only square the field but at least I can count the 215$ tourney ticket as 200$ EV and not disregard it since I dont feel that I am a superawesome NL-MTT-player. Actually, I am starting to change that approach a little. Not that I am awesome, but ive actually watched some MTT-coaching lately and it appears that if I just tone down the aggression, cbet a lot smaller then I would do in CGs then I think I can be a winning MTT-player. Or maybe that is pushing it, maybe winning in terms of playing when 90% of the field are noobs but then probably getting crushed when more savvy people are still there. So yeah, given the very high ratio of recreational players then I think i have re-evaluated my EV for mtts.

So, I played some tournies! I was doing allright in all but got it in pretty standardly with shoving like 11 BBs on CO with JJ vs AA on BB, another QQ vs KK and then it was something pretty stupid. Ohh yeah I remembered I did a very questionable shove with 99 into topset on Q6T8 haha. Given how the hand went out then that was prob not the best but then there were some hands I think I played a lot better then my opponents. Did some cool moves. Also people donated chips freely. I was kinda shocked why someone would overbetshove 4x pot on Q569 with AQ when I had 87.

So anyways, I bust out of sunday million, partypoker 200k and sundaystorm+big but I registered for a mixed game tournament. I have only played this tournament twice, first time I won in a 3k field for freeroll cash (think i won 150$ in bonuses) and this time the buyin was 100$+ and a field under 100. It was kinda nice though, you have decent chance to get high up, anything more then 3k$ for first would be awesome and motivating for me.

Tourneys in mostly fixed limit betting structures are kinda interesting. At first thought you would think that it would be a total snoozefest at earlier stages but I thought it was well-tempoed throughout in all that I have played, the blinds feel meaningful but not too big with an exception. It would be nice to slow it a bit more in the later stages. Its waay to rushed and there is not that much skill playing 5 BB deep FLSH or anything fixed for that matter.

I also dabbled with this pokertracking-software that works for all games and I think it would be kinda invalueable and an edge that most people do not have. So I imported the tourney and it got through correctly but I cannot find/start a replay, haha. There was 3-4 interesting hands that I recall. This guy I have played some FL08 with went very deep with me and it was crazy how much he thought people folded. I think he plays winning but often suboptimal shorthanded O8 (fulring is totally different btw, moreso then any other shorthanded vs fullring ever could be categorized. I also count myself in that category, I probably do some pretty stupid things, easy mistakes and whatnot but play better then the opposition. Same thing with tripple draw where I prob do some really fishy stuff preflop and dont know stupid easy stuff like how a 762 fair against 743. Or you know, how much eq 8652 have against 234. A bunch of stuff :D. But I think I play better postflop then some.

Anyways, I lost a freaking huge pot with this retard playing one of the worst razzhands ive ever seen, not that I have seen much. He thought I was gonna autofold given that I showed a 7 and he 3bet an A and 3bet my steal. Nevermind, cant find it but I was prob 95ish% to win a megapot.

So here was a kinda keyhand that was nice.

Link to HH, (7card stud hi/lo)

Not so hard to play though. So everyone folds to me and I see K and 2. If the K would chose to vpip then it it would mean KKx 95%, 5% 3cardflush and should be fine, I will likely have position on 4th. Then 2 is obviously not bad but I have apparently 63,1% vs a random 2, 54% eq vs 234, 51% vs A24 etc. I am fine and in my opinion I can probably play well later on if he gets high cards.

Supersetup really. Nice to get paid the max :D.

Link to FL08-hand
I had 2-3 hands that was very interesting that I cannot find but here is another big important hand. Its not big per say but given the fast structure towards the end it cost me a lot of daaaalllarz.

So here on turn I faced the first real decision. I had a lower flush as well as a shitty low-draw and I was considering raising due to his aggressive nature but wisely decided against that thinking I can be crushed vs a lt of hands and that we dont have all that much fold eq in FL08 anyways. Called and it turned out i was 80% and he mega-binked the river for a megapot (like 25% of all remaining chips) and threehanded. Then we ended up chopping with 3 even stacks and played for a smaller sum. Actually, the absolute worst player won the whole thing which was kinda surprising since he was down a lot.

Anyways, I placed top 5 and had a nice score 2k$+ as well as I was running really really good at the cashgames (I noticed after awhile that I was playing a lot worse than normal) and I was actually up 930 sick dollars but I ended up 630$ so all in all it was a very good day.

Had a real urge to continue to play mixed game MTTs + MTTs in general but not gonna go all nuts on that. Stick to current stakes and hopefully earn some more cash the following weeks before school starts. Would be great to win a bit more and hopefully build a live bankroll, I really want to "cultivate" one that is primarily seen as a roll for travelling and playing live poker and if I lose then i wont mind. Would be cool to make nicer and nicer trips and play higher and higher games but thats well lnog in the future :D. But say its only 1k$ then if I live in california then I could easily use that to go to Vegas, play there. Win to 3k. Take that cash and spend extra on a trip to Florida for the live games there. Then up t 20k$ and go to monte carlo, haha you get the drift. That is since a) i want to play more live but not only on stakes that motivates 10 hands/hour and b) live games in general is often very loose and swingy.

HU removal and paaaaahh + Goodbye partypoker

Todays first session. One of the worst sessions this year.
Just recently I had one of the worst runs of this grinding sesh. Lost 562$ and -135 BBs in 510 hands. That is probably a new record. However, 350$ or so of that was HU vs a fish. I say fish, not bad reg, not over-aggro, I mean total fish. I dont play any type of regular HU anymore (even though I previously had pretty nice HU-stats and feel confident in my HU-game) so now I only play fish. For variance and given the fact that I only have a few weeks of grinding then I will exclude any type of megafish for more then 75$. I have had 3-4 sessions like that now which can be seen in this months stats (which doesnt look that awesome anyways).

Everything comes down to variance obviously but also given the fact that HU takes a lot of attention then it makes it an easy decision for now.

This big loss kinda sucked but I was up like 550$ at best last night so I guess it can all come around very quickly.

Also, I recently became gold-member after earning 1000 points in a month, aka 500$ rake. Had hoped to perhaps sort it out somehow so I can use all my fucking points but no, they will want me to continue to play and basically I will get screwed now no matter how I do it. Apparently the rakeback% will be 60% while playing under the bonus but given the already higher rake at party poker + that it is similar to other offers I can get now anyway makes the bonuses not all that intersting. The gifts are also pretty shitty as you see, ranging from 2,9%-11% RB. I am about to buy a new phone though and I have a little more then I need for the samsung S3...

Anyways, I thought Id make a nice avatar for all the forums, changed it to this, considering adding it to this blog too.

Back to the grind after 3-day festival!

Hello! Tssup? Went on a 3day-festival which just finished last night. It was kinda cool, saw a decent amount of bands (missed some too), drank some good beers and had a good time. First day I tried to play poker (wasnt drunk) for a shorty but lost 80 BBs in 110 hands which, being an atheist like I am, I considered to be a sign from god that I should probably not play during these days. So I didnt.

Now the festival is over and even though a new city (free) one starts next week I feel like staying in and grind. Mostly its due to my still broken leg which makes me less party (if that is a slang adjective in english too). I guess boring is the correct word. Not sure if it is about the soft but constant pain or if it is the lack of energy not being able to exercise. No matter which it is, I look forward to be able to run and then finally play football. Healthy living is the shit.

Anyways,  so I thought I would make up for this lost time by grinding some more. Gonna stick to 1/2 and 2/4$ for 1k$ profit more and perhaps even for 2k$. So far summer is still kinda nice even though had a few bad days etc. I really like writing down the hours spent + profits, it gives you more perspective and motivates grinding even though you lost like 1k$ or whatever last few days.

PLO: Regarding that then I found that making zoom videos is kinda nice for several reasons. Normally I it is profitwise suicide to play popular games like lowstakes NL/PLO with shitty rakeback but at these stakes I dont care about the tiny cash, I just want a "score" of an okay BB/100 after some samplesize. So I have one that I have produced and will upload as soon as I got some non-limited connection and think that there is going to be many. Anyways, these are easy to produce and kinda nice.

Salvation to the disconnects and refocus on PLO!

Tired. Very tired. Last week I probably did more poker then I planned, 35h of effective playing time and a bunch of videos too. The PLO-part of it is definetly not progressing as Ive hoped but been wanting to play FLSH and also wanted/needed to rake 1k$ pretty fast to get RB+ipad. So I wanted to rake on one site but now I am more free in terms of where I want to play. Actually maybe not. It would be kinda cool to rake at stars + party and I want to permanently leave party after I cash out my vip-points there since they are a scamming company. Its kinda cool sort of, ive probably deposited and played with 40+ pokerrooms and even though there have been scandals here and there, I would only avoid Expekt and Partypoker, and probably only the poker-part about Expekt. I think that is a kinda good in terms of customer satisfaction! Okay, naked poker wasnt that fun. Rednines neither. Ohh right PokerNordica screwed me pretty hard. FTP would have sucked if I didnt lose my balance there just a week before. Okay maybe not so few after all.

Anyways, today is my day off. I want to grind and earn some more but new to this summers schedule are the free days, two per week to be exact. Gonna be more hungry to play tomorrow or on wednesday though!
I might have to reset my thinking on PLO. The "silent" rationalization in my head has been like "yeah so I can play 2/4$ FLSH profitably but ive decided only to play PLO10-20€ so FLSH is more tempting and ill go with that". It is true for immidate profits etc but the goal was never to make any real money playing nanostakes PLO, it was just about to get some volume in and try to apply what I learn in the videos etc and hopefully, once I have got a nice winrate then from there I can probably begin the fun grind and hopefully go up pretty quickly. I do think, with my tableselection-skills etc + balance at a bunch of networks, that being able to win at the PLO25€ will be enough to find equally loose games at PLO200€.

Ohh! I forgot one important aspect that was kinda key in this weeks grind. The internet connection. Ive been playing partially under 4g/LTE-modem and partially with my phones 3g and I was really contemplating finding some solution for me to grind since internet went down and not only is that very costly in itself, I got freaking angry seeing the nuts got folded and it really distracted me from my game. That, combined with some bad luck caused the hourly for the week to be pretty poor but overall I am quite happy with the hourly for the summer, given the low stakes of course. Anyways, I think I found the solution for the connection, yesterday I played almost 9 hours with only one disconnection and I think ive just had 1-2 after the change I made in about 20-30h. The key appears to have been to lock the modem to the 4g instead of it trying to optimize between 3g and 4g (which is the default). This switch have caused these tiny disconnects which have driven me crazy.

Okay, I promise that I will upload a PLO-video tomorrow or wednesday. If the first attempt doesnt give me a good video, I will quickly make a second or third etc etc. It has to be done. (Btw, I have 2-3 decent FLSH-videos too but the interest for FLSH is kinda low).

Result of first real grind-week!

Yoyo! First real week is almost done. Had some HM2-problems that for the first time made it totally unusable but luckily I have both a HM1-license and second computer that should be ready for grinding. Pokerplayers are always lazy and like excuses like "I cant play since my harddrive crashed etc" but obviously it is important to always be able to get the grind on. Buy a cheap second computer for 400$ if you have to.
Anyways, the first week have been a total success expect that I will likely fall behind the schedule of 8hours grind but just slightly. I did however fail on the plo-commitment (been playing more FLSH) but I think it is fine, if you really feel like playing one particular game and then play another instead then you are probably less focused in general.

I should probably talk some about marked hands which I do too infrequently. Went through 3 I had marked but hehe, I didnt find them to interesting. Next time, ill do better :D.

So Ive registered 25,1h this week, gonna do 5-6 more this weekend and won s+988$ at 1/2 and 2/4 which is nice and well above expectation. Kinda nice though to ease into the hard grind, I thought I would had more difficulty going from like 20-30h/month to 30-40h/week but I thought I mostly played fine, very well at times.

Been watching some videos on the tv. Good thing with "new" tv's with the ease of connecting computers etc.

Also regarding the connection then I think I have solved it and I also think that I have been slighly over-cautious about reaching the 10gb-limit. Uploading a video or two shouldnt be a problem so ill try to actually do that. Did one that I consider pretty decent for FLSH and then another one which was pretty low strat-wise in PLO but I was kinda restless so talked a lot. Gonna upload these two and post.

Gonna buy a runitonce-subscription and look at shitloads of PLO-videos this week and take notes. Really motivated to become more serious with PLO this week, especially after hearing the result of a friend that recently made the switch. We come from totally different games and the situation is kinda different overall but still find that motivating so maybe I shouldnt ask myself if it should be motivating :).

A thing I like to do now except taking notes is to paus before the coach explains their reasoning  and try to think for myself first. It kinda breaks the passiveness of watching videos and fooling yourself that you actually learn (often you do but not optimally) which was a phenomena which became very obvious when I did some math+physics via videos. By watching you often feel that you get everything in and that you are on par with the coach but then when you try to do it yourself, without the aid, you find yourself lost at times and beeing like "daaamn, what was that he mentioned again?".

Good result given the very low stakes!

Also got to a new VIP-level and therefore could cash out some FPPs so just got a boost of BR and I plan to expand on further sites later on when I reach 1k$ rake at one site for a promotion. Will be playing at 2 different networks that use the same software which kinda sucks and I am not quite sure what I think about all these new networks that you can play on.

Nice start!

Yo!

Yesterdays score

Back home! Suffered an injury and have difficulty to move which is kinda nice for a grinding-standpoint. Actually perhaps not, I find exercising to be the perfect remedy to long hours in front of the computer and that is right now impossible. Was about to format the stationary computer and upgrade to a SSD but it appears that my windows DVD must be scratched and I do have a usb but its not here but will arrive in a few days together with a bunch of stuff since its in a bag that is being transported.

Logitech wireless backlit keyboard

Am a bit tempted btw to buy a logitech wireless backlit keyboard since it is nice + it uses a logitech unifying reciever which I lost for my favorite mouse. Well well.

Played a session last night, ran really good headsup vs a fish and won 450ish $ which is kinda nice at 2/4 and 1/2 and played two sessions today and was up 100$ for the first but then lost more or less every big hand HU vs a very agressive opponent and HM says -300$ for the day. Kinda big swings for the stakes but doesnt really matter in the long run, does it?

Gonna play tomorrow as well but then on monday I plan to do the real schedule with mixing in PLO into the mix, I am kinda tired right now and just want to enjoy a few days back home.

Wrote down some rules so yeah, only one table of 2/4$ is allowed and no HU even vs a superfish for the first week.

Btw, the connection has been worse and for some reason, the phone started to behave less stable then normal for the 3g-router-function, ended this session 40 min early since it lost connection, stuff that is very expensive, hope it is just because Robbie Williams is in town close to my house and the 3g-network is clogged. Or maybe not, that would probably mean that every big event nearby will fuck up internet and being here for the summer when all the events are, then that would suck.

Have had some swings up and down but yesterday was the craziest, I just ran like crazy. At 3 occassions I was up over 1k$, this being at 2/4$ which is just insane, at least top 5 results in terms of BBs in my life, I think the record was like +320 BBs, just checked this one out and it was +179 BBs. Ran worse and maybe was a bit too loose in the end and ended up +690$, still a very nice score and with rakeback thats another 140$ or so.

Also done 3 videos already but the dealio is the upload-part being injured and having 10 gb max for the month. I can probably ask friend to upload shit but I really dont feel like being a burden even for a small thing. Might find some internet café to hang out in since its kinda nice to leave the house too.

Well, so great start, just gonna keep focused and not move up, 690$ is nice but can easily be lost running bad for 2 days.

Summer-setup; Goals and schedule

Hi! On wednesday the last exam is done and on thursday Ill go back to Sweden again. After that the "intellectual focus" is fully on poker. God I am hungry for getting on with the grinding. Feeling more disciplined in life and have learned something about scheduling etc so I did a version that I can stick with all summer and that will provide both freedom but also volume. It will also deviate from playing every day which I have done more or less every summer. This will allow other projects.

Grind = 5 days per week @ 8 hours per day. 4 hours of FLSH and 4 hours of PLO (this involves studying + playing).

I have divided the day in (2hour)sessions, primarily in early, midday and evening/night and at the start of every week I choose the grinding sessions. The idea is to take mondays + thursdays/sundays off but this can change depending on other life activity. Also if I want to go out on friday then I might do a half day there (4 hours) and a half day on say sunday.

I also added quite liberal  breaks in order to act as a buffer since I realized with experience that strict schedules tend to get ignored and you end up 2 hours behind etc. The schedule has a very long lunch and a very long dinner as well.

Another thing is that I want to schedule in video-making as well but I thought to keep it at about 30 min instead of longer since 1) if i want to hide my nicks then its less table-rearranges to consider=less time editing) and 2) It is easier to keep focused commentary for shorter time and thus less recording attempts will "fluke". 3) Quicker rendering + uploading.

The idea for the first week is just to grind very low 1/2$ and only play 4 tables to get a nice start. Trying to reconfigure the HUD and get some more fresh stats on all the networks again. Then every week I choose new strict limits and number of tables and evalute at the end of each week.
OBS: Not my pic but same setup!

Next weekend I plan to put in a SSD on my large desktop computer (use laptops otherwise), format windows and reinstall all software and then I plan to keep that computer as a sort of grinding computer and hopefully dont need to format it in a few years (I am only going to use it during summers). This will allow me to get the full 2560x1600 res on the 30"incher (HDMI only supports 1920x1200 and my laptop doesnt have dual-DVI) + a 23"incher. Its going to be sweet. All set for heavy grinding.

I hope get a decent winrate at nano-stakes PLO (PLO10€) and if I get like 25k hands with say 4 BB/100 or more ill move up given that FLSH doesnt fail atrociously. Even 100k hands at those stakes with 7 BB/100 or so will not give very much cash and I only have 2-3 months to grind before what looks to be the US in october and grinding there is, as you all know, dangerous.

June - Yet another bland and time-wasteing month

Another bland month at the lowstakes....

June is over! It was another bland month. Started out fine but then I ran bad but also could have played more focused. I felt I played decently but ran really really bad, the wtsd%/wtsd of 46,6 and 47,6 is just crazy. I would be worried about these high wtsd but the thing is that there are more family pots and multiway till sd which means all regs have very high wtsd-numbers in comparison to the otherwise normal figures of 40-41%. There are like 3-4 winning regs at my stakes and they all have around 45/52 which tells me I am definetly running pretty bad. I am, however, looking forward to grinding and focusing fulltime on poker very soon.

Resultwise I actually ended up marginally up on FLSH but also running 250$ish under EV at PLO at PLO10€ but perhaps I did not play exceptionally there. What is a normal wtsd% on plo btw?

So I more or less broke even. But the rake-thing is really getting to me and I think more and more the community needs to do something. So I played 45 hours of lowlimit mostly 2/4€ FLSH. You know how much I payed for that pleasure? Fucking 25 397 SEK. That is 564 SEK/hour which would be 85$/hour. I find that just sick. Isnt that more expensive then fucking getting a lapdance or something? I cant figure out something that I ever have done that pays a higher hourly then playing lowstakes fixed limit online holdem. It pisses me off. It once was fine when I was making a decent buck but when I am struggling with the lowstakes which goes for 90% of all poker players this factor grows increasingly frustrating. It definetly tempts me more to learn PLO, also a well-raked game but not to the same extent, at least there are a bunch that continue to have great winrates at nano-stakes games, different from FLSH.

Okay, enough about my rant. I played 18k hands, 15,3k FLSH, 2,4k PLO and 2,4k zoom NLHE (actually ended up winning, surprise surprise).

In the last 1/3 I also had the chance to play euro-sites again which was nice. This will allow me to do the 8hours per day which I plan after july 20 since waiting for action at spanish sites etc feels shitty and a waste of time. As I mentioned, I am now more disciplined in general and mentally accepting to play very very low stakes (0.5/1 and 1/2$) so with that range (0.5/1 to 2/4) I should be able to find 4 tables constantly. Also, I find it very nice to be able to play zoom/probe/blaze PLO while waiting for action with nice rakeback. Actually, now when I am writing it I am not really sure which networks actually do offer that but ill guess ill find out soon.
Do you guys like the new logo I made for them?

Also want to direct a big fuck-you to PartyPoker which takes us loyal players, offer us a shitty but still acceptable VIP-club of up to 50% cashback and then after years of playing with just barely reaching palladium, they change the system to give us 30% max as a PLAYTHROUGH-BONUS and this being at the highest vip-level. The second highest cashbonus would freaking give you about 10% which is extremly shitty, especially given the fact that their general rake-scheme already rakes TONS more then ipoker, pokerstars etc etc in terms of BB/100 at most stakes. Thanks for screwing loyal customers, at least the pokerstars semi-scam-vipprogramme is straightforward and honest and you can predict when the changes are going to occur (also, they wouldnt be expected to screw you retroactively).

Ive raked over 20k+$ there more or less without ever using a bonus and I will never step foot on their site again.

Had a great start to july though, +200€ first day.

Soon the summermega-grind begins!

Hello!
How are things? I have some extra exams in mid-juli and even though I can increase play a little, I will no go full on until 17th of july. I can though decide a schedule and I think I have learned a lot about disciplin and realistic planning this last year so I am pretty excited to start the grind actually.

I plan on spend 4 hours per day doing FLSH and 4 hours doing PLO (videos+playing+reading) and do that 5 days per week. Gonna shift the regular week slightly so gonna be free most sundays (possible hangovers) and mondays since fridays+saturdays feature the most action.

The difference this year is that the minimum stakes that I am willing to play is even lower and thus if I run bad, I will not take large breaks but just go down playing low, it feels more motivating. I go down to 0.5/1€ FLSH if I have to.

Checked my stats btw and this year and it has been bad in the sense that I wasted time, not money. But if I had my normal rakeback of 50-60% then I would have made more significant amount and that rakeback is gonna be nice too, allowing me to play lower if needed.

Found some sweet books too and found out how to crop and edit them so I can read them on my kindle and if I go to the states next school year I read about the casinos etc and perhaps I will become a live NL-grinder due to the availability of games etc.  That could actually be pretty fun, if I find a nice casino with drinks and loose games and shit with my kindle then I am totally fine with playing NL1/2 too.

Btw, I could perhaps start to play higher, my plan is to cash out shitloads of FPPS+PPs etc this summer that I have stored up. So the value I have is like 6 times my current bankroll so I hope I can grind enough etc but we will see.

Good start after break! Up 754$ in play in a week!

Yoyo! How are things? As I mentioned, I took the longest pokerbreak ever for 3-4 weeks and just started playing a little in the end of may. Then played a little in june and yesterday I had a great day where I hit boards like a mofo but the suckouts+setups were actually insane, won 505$ yesterday at 1/2€ and 2/4€. Been playing mostly FLSH and up 754$ in play for june which is very nice considering the stakes. Just finished up a round of playing PLO and cashed in 30$ish dollars. Much more fun to play when u are winning :D.

Been playing some zoom NLHE which I wouldnt do if it werent loose enough and it appears that the spanish NL-players are not that great. Maybe I will continue that. Just did a test of playing exactly 10 minutes of 4table zoom and I got 183 hands. That means about 1100 hands/hour, pretty neat but we will see! Actually, that would be quite cool just to see. Baah maybe later, until then i will just "zoom" until I get my correct amount of tables during waitinglist etc.

Checked out a propsite as well that I used to play with. I was freaking up like 2500€ at NL there +120% RB and I used to get this emails "please come back, u are winning at our site" and it states the amount u are up. The thing is that I saw these emails time and time again and with me playing there, I noticed that the amount decreased and now I am only up on RB there. Anyways, I checked it out and they have made some nice software-improvements and it was a full 10/20€ NL-game (!!!) going on the day I checked and I was playing a 0.5/1€ which was just insanely good, even I was a winner in that game. Got called with 17BB-3bet with KK (I thought I perhaps made it too big) with A8s and Q7o by the steal and the SB and saw some ridicolous play. Probably gonna play that site since the deal is so good, just wish that they started with PLO which would be a lot nicer for me.

So happy times! Got the last physics exam on tuesday though so perhaps ill play a little poker to relax this weekend but not a lot until then. Then though I believe I will have some time. This exam is kinda important and not only do I need to pass, I need to do it with a pretty good grade since the grading works as I need to have an average of 50% for 2 tests and got a shitty score on the first one. This subject is challening and it kinda made me depressed since I felt unusually stupid (normally not the case :D) and thought I would fail this but after seeing the exam and now having exercises and solutions + I found out a good way to practice it then this negative feeling been changed with enthusiasm and hope :). But I better get on it now, hehe.

Have a great weekend guys!

Played a little, soon a lot!

Heyaaah!
Played poker the last days of may, had a superlong session the other day playing from like 2 till 6 and was down 260$ish dollars on FLSH+PLO and turned it around to +50$  and then yesterday a very quick session where I played very unfocused, lost 30$ish. Been thinking about how I should tackle poker in the future. An aquintance that I was studying that is/was a succesful pokerplayer scheduled it so that he played 0 hands of poker while studying (9 months of the year) and just basically grinded the summer. That summer I studied with him he got very high grades and he didnt really say anything but according to PTR, he won like 60 000$ that summer. Thats more then enough for me :D. In my current state, I would be totally happy with 15 000$ :D. Its just that I have this idea about volume etc but I dunno. I think I will continue with my current style, play 15-40 hours per months when I feel like it an grind the summer, I hope this one to go up in PLO which I have mentioned b4.

Btw, I did a video that I am gonna upload. I realized that I am a bit retarded though, it didnt appear to me that rendering a 60-min long video with full HD-res would take some time, I believe its on the 6th hour right now and its freaking frustrating since im afraid its gonna lag. Actually, just realized that that is no problem, I have two computer, woho!! Btw, I believe I have mentioned this but the current setup I have with a 24"+2 laptops with 4port USB-hub is such an amazing thing. Just change the USB-hub to the other computer and connect the HDMI and boom, I have 1 tb extra storage, a seperate keyboard+mouse, a printer and an extra port for whatever. No need for a second set of mouses etc. Btw, im kinda drooling over this screen which is just amazing and very price--worthy IMO.

Ohh after this I played some FLSH and got a decent start for june. Was up 400$ but finished +300$ instead, still nice! Video comes up very soon, probably gonna upload it in school on monday due to our poor connection.

Plan; Mental return!

Hi guys. How have you been? Me personally havnt played poker since the 3rd which is a long break which was planned and I hoped to continue playing after that but it appears that I will have to put in an extra effort in school. I am studying structural analysis right now which is hard but not impossible but I dont know, my head doesnt get a proper understanding of the principles as it usually does so if I dont do something I will fail this class. That would suck.

Been playing a bit starcraft thought when I've been to tired to study and I found that both (SC and poker) more or less has the same function for me so maybe I should uninstall SC2 and use these hours to play instead.

The break was a bit problematic to my vip-levels at stars. I truly hate vip-systems with requirements since it always gives you this feeling of waiting longer and longer to cashout bonuses etc and there is now so freaking much cash I would appreciate that I am saving since I will reach a higher vip-level in the summer. I truly miss weekly steady rakeback, that is freaking freedom.

However, I did what I normally do given numbers etc and did some calculations of how much I would gain if I "upgraded" to a few different vip-levels. It appears that the sum I would save atm was a bit lower then I thought. In the start of the year I was doing okay towards supernova but me moving out of the country midyear and running bad then the maximum I can reach is platinum. I am silver atm after the break but gold is easily achievable and probably platinum as well. So seeing the number of fpps i have and the amount I would lose cashing in at the lower value bonuses made me more relaxed. I get robbed theoretically but my current low volume gives low rake the the dollar-figure is less important.

I am excited though again about poker, I look forward to try again with PLO and perhaps I will even megagrind the nano-stakes FLSH to get some volume in. Like 9tabling 0.5/1€ if there is.

OHH, another thing I will try to do later is to start propping and just pull up some tables and hope to get some action. Propping is such a great thing but unfortunatly it requires special conditions in order to suit you. Right now I dont mind having a table in the background while I am studying and when an opponent comes, ill play them HU with 100% RB but I understand that doesnt really fly with people that like to put a solid 3hour grind-sessions with good volume.

Another thing I would like to do is going back to scratch with FLSH and play 1 or 2 tables and talk about basic things in a video.

DrugsOrMe

Still taking a break but instead been railbirding Isildur and the highstakes scene which is not normal. Noticed that DrugsOrMe is playing and remember that I played some FLHU vs him 50/100$ and kicked his ass :). Haha its sad to see where I am now in poker given where I was. I hate life!!

One month break

Gonna take one month break from poker. So its to the 4th of june. Might change my mind but doesnt feel like it atm.

Primarily because I am running really bad but also because I have some outside economic situation that I would like to know the result of b4 I decide on perhaps redepositing some past winnings back into the pokerbankroll again or not.

Could also be nice to free up some time, I hope that I will not fill it with exclusively watching tv-shows but something more giving.

April summary

All games in april in USD

It was going great except from the last day where a very slow but steady result turned into a loss in one days havoc. Was winning a lot of days at PLO10€ and was up a small amount in (400$ish) and then a little RB. During this mainly PLO-times I totally started to get why the NL/PLO-people have such a lack of about rakeback and so on. It truly feels like small shitty amounts when you look at HM2 at a day-to-day-basis. Of course, it is more significant in FLSH since its so disgustingly over-raked but still, its so freaking important for your winrate.

The volume this month btw was very low. I mentioned this before perhaps but for 3 weeks I had 3 hours taken out of every day for doing (foot)rehabilitation and you know, adding that to my already timeconsuming studies then that meant little time for poker. I btw did this spreadsheet just to see what my winrate is at PLO given the fact that half my action is at one site that all in EV doesnt show and another site where it does. Also, my winrate has been very high for a short period of time at one as well as I have been losing at another. So I did this spreadsheet to calculate a BB/100 that was as accurate as possible taking into account the all in EV when its correct but disregarding it if it is not. Considering that I played some pots like complete shit then I am pretty happy with my WR even thou its for very few hands.

So it shows that 851 BBs under EV so 17 buyins in april.

Wanted to check out the same BB/100 but for the last 2-3 months and apparently played about 10k hands and that was also fine even though not very impressive, especially given the stakes and I do realize its "lol samplesize".

Here it appears that I must have been above all in EV first 1,5 months since here we have 652 buyins under ev, 13 buyins.

All in all, it is perhaps the wrong focus and it is inconclusive but I do enjoy making excel-sheets etc and it does give me something. Also, it is a way of BR-management of course.

Anyways, then we had the last day where I lost 600$ish and ended up the last day with a losing month being 98% in the green or rather, light green. That day (yesterday) was pretty frustrating, it felt like I had never seen more top2 vs sets in FLSH which has some truth to it and after the session I was writing a blogpost saying that I planned to take a break from poker due to weak results the last couple of months. That feeling is somewhat cured by the PLO-results actually and the shitty feeling I felt yesterday is gone and I just want to get some volume in this month and do around 15kish hands.

Got holidays this week and might travel to Paris but if not then I hope to get some action in, say 2-3k hands of PLO per day or so. Want to play a bit tonight but am feeling kinda tired and had some Sangria so that is probably not the best idea.

Ohh no!

Yoyo! I just finished a session and god, I played so awful last half hour. I am so disappointed,. First I was getting sucked out on quite heavily (down 3 buyins in all in EV first 150 hands) and still managed to show a profit, then just gave money away and called down so freaking light. Continued to have bad luck bu still, so poorly played.

Shouldnt play so tired, down 175$ for the day slightly under 500 hands played. Ciao y'all, busy times, not likely to play much this weekend.

Homegame and decent slow-but-steady-streak!

PLO-graph for 1-21 apr

9 of 10 winnings days in april! Woho!

Hellu!

School has kicked in and I had an amazing barbeque yesterday with some new people and they actually started to talk about a game of poker. Normally I am not to keen on poker in social situations since I play enough already and want to seperate the two but of course its more fun to play then to observe so I put the gigantic stake of 5€ in. It was a sit-and-go and I counted 54 chips each and we had the rules of starting with 0.5/1 and up it for every two people that went out. My friend bet/3bet all in with AJo on KQQJA on the river and went out as the other guy called with AT, haha lol on that.

Then I got shitty hands and people doubled and trippled up and when it was 4/6 in blinds I went all in on 632 with 2 clubs and got called by 33 and lost. They actually got surprisingly good hands come to think about it, this was like 20 hands in and one guy got AA and KK and then this set, hehe.

Anyways, it was fun to play with having a girl to either side to talk to that had this exciting mysterious feeling about poker that we all might had in the beginning but that now has vanished.

Online in april I have played 6950 hands according to HM! 4578 of these hands being PLO and I have a WR of 5,4 BB/100 and I am down about 6 buyins in all in EV. The graph shows more but that is on a site that only shows  all in-hands when you lose so if you only take stars.es then its about -6.

I have been playing PLO10 and occasionally good PLO25 and as you see, I have won 9 out of 10 playing days in april! As you see, these winning days have been pretty small but I cherish it still, looking forward to play some more when I have the time.

Gotta transfer over some poker-stuff to my kindle and some pokervideos for my tablet so I can perhaps read some on the bustrips. I am doing this sprained ankle-rehab right now which takes a bunch of time after school (about 3 hours every day) which sucks but at least I can use this time commuting catching up on poker-theory which havnt been a big part of this year. Not, that I have played much either.

Got some exams coming up but I hope to have the study discipline so I can perhaps get up to 12k hands played for all april.

PLO - winning!

Hey guys! I am just fine. Been to the gym again after the holidays (it was closed) and did some bicycling which was nice. A poor thing in itself but it is acceptable in shorts spurts or with something to listen to. Btw, I knew a long time that I can take books online here in Spain via my swedish library but I was not really sure what to read so I didnt read that much for 1-2 months. Now though I found this kategories which made it very easy to browse and find books you like. Gonna read about some italian wines (history etc) and then I am likely to read some philosophy. Its nice to have something else than poker and school to think about and the good thing about books is that the subject changes frequently in comparison to your line of work or poker.

Anyways, now we just started but I believe school is gonna get heavy soon but I hope to be able to play a decent amount. So far march actually has been quite good to me, at least decent. Won small sums at microPLO and I have won 5 ouf of 6 days! The day I lost I really played shit btw, oh god, it was embarrasing. Had 2 beers which is nothing really but hadnt eaten and noticed that I wasnt playing that great. Alcohol and poker is usually not a problem for me at all but this time it was.
Have played 6,1k hands of PLO now and have an all in BB/100 of 4,4 which is not amazing but played some hands pretty bad plus that session when I lost too much so I am actually happy about that. Of course this could all change very quickly but I hope that I can finish most of my school work in the weekdays and then party one of the weekend-days and then play a bunch the other two nights of the weekend to get some volume in.

Difference in my game:
I feel I have more understanding of the situations and I am a bit tighter but also more aggressive in spots that I was a bit weak in before. Today I made a very aggressive bet/3bet on the river with the nutflush-blocker which I probably would have given up on 3 months ago. Btw, the phenomenon on the A-flushblocker is a pretty old topic but I struggle to decide on the frequency I should bluffraise with it. Of course it depends on the player but the nature of microstakesPLO is that you only have maximum a couple of hundred hands on the opponent but probably around 20-50 on most of them. So you normally cannot take "it depends on the player"-approach but have to do a general approach and i dont know. I normally find though that people do not tend to call down very lightly in PLO in general, especially not on flushboards without a paired board so I think I will smash A-blocker quite often.

Noticed btw that I lost on pokerstars.es but won steadily on another site. To few hands to draw any conclusions but I might have to think about that later. Have to start watching some PLO-vidz again also. I have a bunch in store. Also I realized I made a quite huge currency-problem, I was playing at like double size stakes on one of the size because I didnt calculate. No biggie but now I stay at mostly PLO10€ with adding the best 10c/25c if I dont have enough tables.

(March 2013) Monthly

Yoyo! March wasnt all that awesome. FLSH recorded one of the worst stats ever recorded after about 10k hands but the positive thing was this (yes 4,5k hands in PLO is not very significative but still!);

Won btw 300$ in FLSH today (in april thou) and I think it will come around very soon and I dont feel so bitter. Maybe mostly because I feel a bit excited about grinding nano-stakes PLO and get a nice volume in there.

Did some calculations btw regarding that and FPPs. So my first goal for the year was just reach supernova. I am very likely though to move to a place where I cannot play on pokerstars.eu so instead of having 12 months, I will likely have only 8 months to reach that status. So the question is whether or not I can gear up and get some volume in on the summer and I think the answer to that question is just how my luck will flow and how PLO will evolve for me. Would be really fun to perhaps be playing 6tables or more on PLO 0.1/0.25 to 0.25/0.5 by summer when I have a lot of time on my hands that would mean that I have to win a lot of cash until then with limited amount of play (i will continue to focus on school and so far, I have never ever been finished nor will I likely be since there is so much stuff slightly outside of what is asked of me that I want to master).

So I just hope to run good until end of june of perhaps 10-15k hands of play per month and then I hope to have the BR and lust to grind and make some nice cash in summer when I perhaps can get in 40-60k hands per month.

Another good PLO-day!

Another good but relatively short pokerday, I am just flabbergasted by my luck, I am very well that it cannot continue like this but it feels great to have 2 great days. Obviously there is a lot of retards at PLO10€ that got it in with 0% eq at times but I have fortunate in some cool spots, won a 5way all in pre with TJKQ and my hand held up 3ways all in deep with me having like Q5T9 with a flushdraw on Q5J and when the board paired a J with me missing all I thought I was dead but no, it "held", just stuff like that.

So, up 26 + 31 buyins or actually, should probably divide that by 1,33 so still a neat 43 buyins in two days. Again, obv dont expect it to continue but it feels great that I have been able to make a decent hourly at such microscopic stakes. Roll is at very low 1370$ (buhu) (have around 5k$ i want to cash out at higher viplevels) so I think Ill continue up to 2k$ with the current stakes and then perhaps mix in some higher stakes but do that gradually. Or ill just lose 60 buyins in one day and decide I hate PLO again :D.

The easter break is btw almost over. I do expect the first 2 weeks in the new trimester to be pretty soft though since a lot of people more or less takes two weeks off and the teachers adjust to that so the real start will likely occur later on. Hope to get some decent volume in.

EDIT: Updated the monthly stats.

Holiday = grind + A video (in swedish)

Hey guys. How have you been? Have been wrapping up the term, just finished and had some trouble with some strange teachers that just seemed to set grades on work on random (very inconsequent) and was completly depleted mentally and physically but now I have rested a bunch, doing absolutly nothing for 38h, then went out for dinner and drinks yesterday and been chillaxing today and am ready for some heavy grind, I expected to put in 4 hours per day this week since I have holidays, woho!

This feb+march has probably been the period of time in like 2-3 years that I have been least focused while playing. Not that I dont think ive been +EV, I have, but before I have had a very stable and high quality play on most of my bad runs. Probably played well 60% and halfunfocused the 40% remaining.

Anyways, I hope to change that with some decent volume. Gonna try to play some PLO and perhaps put some videos online but we will see. Would be nice with a strong week to give me some motivation to continue with playing, last 2-3 months usually meant login in, playing 2 hours and have a won at sd of 40%ish and just getting butchered which is not very motivating. I actually had a session of HEADSUP FIXED LIMIT with it taking 118 hands for me to win my first showdown. And he was not even very aggressive, and I wasnt supertight either. Anyways, so I hope to get some volume in, playing most nights and perhaps try to play some very lowstakes PLO when there is not so much FLSH running. Its very possible that I ditch PLO too but it feels like I should give it another attempt to break the current pattern.

Won 197$ first session actually, playing FLSH.

EDIT: Haha oh yes. 200 hands of PLO25€. Down 300$, 197$ under all in EV. Perfect.Gotta love it.

DId a video playing 3-4tables of FLSH and actually did good. Was in a talking mood so I think the video is allright, its probably like 60% random talk about poker lately and 40% strategy. It is rendering now so ill post the link as soon as it is uploaded.

Video with 4tabling FLSH

Results so far in march

Yoyo. Been studying and our internet has been so shitty, its not even funny. Felt that getting disconnected 3-4 times per hour is very detrimental to my winrate and also my mindset (I am a calm kind person but NOTHING tilts me as bad as getting disconnected with topset and see the chips pushed to my opponent when internet returns) so I havnt been in the mood for playing. Been thinking about whether or not I should take a break until I live somewhere with better internet connection. Also thought about renting a 3,5g-modem but I think ive found my solution! And it was there all the time and also quite obvious, using my phone as a wifi-hotspot while playing. I am playing right now, been playing 4-5 hours and so far (knock on wood) it has been flawless and doesnt need to worry that a roommate streams, dropboxes or whatever.

OBS; Actually, I today tried to put my computer on the other part of the desk, not on the "high-side" against the wall and my internet switched from 2-3 staples to 5, haha. And now I have two screens which was nicer then I thought. Problem solved!

Btw, also recorded a video and put down here below but I would say that the commentary and play in it was of a lower caliber, watch it if you'd like.

Spain and italian player pool combinatioN!?!?!?!?

"Enrique Alejo, Director of Spanish online gaming regulator the DGOJ, is “quite confident” that the online poker player pools in Spain and Italy will combine by the end of the year."
From article by pokerfuse

I mean, wow. That would just be amazing. Would make sense too since pokerstars has the only player pool and often it is not sufficient to run a lot of games.

I have been running a bit better last few days, not playing supermuch but won like 5 out of 6 days which is a nice change. Been a bit distracted with my new computer and the possilibity of playing computer games but I am pretty determined in bumping up my volume for march so ill get in over 10k hands at least, aiming for like 15k hands. Blocked myself from PLO (not that I played nor lost much in feb) since I am just running awful and its too swingy for me atm (fired up a table, second hand i got it in with QQxx topset on QT2 vs AAKx on flop and obv rivered a J which reminded me about the nature of PLO.

Restructured also my monthly report from (thanks google docs!) in order to get a more detailed view and also tried to streamline my reporting system so I could easier see like, how much Ive won/lost in FLSH, PLO, mixed games etc. After a few years of reporting I notice how important it is to label and explain your categories well. For example, I had one cell that were supposed to show "Earnings in USD". That for me would mean winnings/losses + whatever amount of rakeback I got. At the starting time, I got like 125% as a prop, then later I played mostly on sites with 60% and some with lower calculating with an average of 50% RB. Then I added these columns where I put in how much rake I have done with sites with 30% rb and then 60% rb to get a pretty accurate number. And now I play half at maybe around 30% cashback and half without any rakeback due to spanish online poker legislation. All these changes in RB makes a uniform "earning"-cell very hard, especially since I am not sure how I calculated these if the formulas are missing. Add in currency exchange-fluctuations etc and it becomes even more confusing and hard to compare. Anyways, what I did now was a more streamline thing with the focus on using the HM2-rakeback but that would make it important to 1) add the correct rakeback and aliases and 2) do a monthly reporting since importing/exporting HHs makes a lot of hhs go away. I just did a gigant important from the other computer which I played on last 6 months and it only showed about 75% of the hands, frustrating as hell.

Well, all the reporting-stuff isnt really neccessary anymore with my volume but I still enjoy being organized. Talking about organization, I must recommend microsoft onenote which is so freaking amazing if you study or want to take continuos notes. Thought it was gonna be hard transfering over my school/poker notes from the old computer but it was the easiest thing ever and I also was able to divide my notebooks into folder, adding descriptions which makes me even more organized.

Sugarsync
Talking about organization, get sugarsync! I just restructured that as well, putting all these small programs, documents etc that I use frequently (placemint, timer gadget, tray-it, allsnap) into one single folder so I dont have to download them each individually everything I format. Also noticed that with the sugarsync 2.0 it is even easier to organize and clean your space. You can look at the "cloud only"-folder and see the filesizes and filenames like an external harddrive and it only starts to download it if you are making edits (like copy/paste etc). I now have 10,5 gb free and if you want 5 gb + 500 mb extra via this link for free, then please click it!

8kish played, doing average/bad, new computer bought!

Graph in BBs for feb (until 26th)

Graph in USD.
Hey guys. Hope everything is good with all y'all. Been doing good in life, learning a lot and just played poker briefly, gonna put the graphs for the month in this post but I believe ive played 7k hands, not done so well either. This plan with playing on the bus etc obviously only becomes viable on the bus, been staying less in Madrid and more at home studying. Down quite a bit in these few hands but nothing I worry a lot about. Well except one thing. I redeposit a previous winnings from my "real life money" into my pokerbankroll which is EXTREMLY rare but I also made a nice system for me to keep very good track of this and let it not become a habit. As I mentioned last post I think, i do have a lot of value locked up in these vip-programmes at both party, stars.es and stars.eu and I just dont want to cash in points at a shitty rate.

Felt thou that I played pretty unfocused at times even thou I been running poor a few days. Could definetly have saved some cash.

New computer!
Also I bought this new computer. Its gonna be completely awesome, upgrading ram and put in a ssd today and its gonna be so freaking fast. This will determine if the HUD of HM2 is slow in itself (with the popups) or if I just need to go with HM1 from now. I am trying to get back into the methodology and thought patterns as I was when I was winnings nicely and one very important part is to detect strange preflop-patterns as people have. When someone raise utg I want to put up the popup to see what opening range they have but HM2 with all my computer so far has taken like 3-4 seconds to load the popup which is frustrating so I just look at the average pfr they have and make assumptions. Assumptions that is likely to frequently be wrong.
One great thing thou is that I have this amazing new life schedule which gives me a lot more free time than before. I might mentioned that b4 but like today AND yesterday I feel like I have more or less completed all my work which was more or less unheard of for last year. Gonna learn some new software now but hope to master that soon and put that extra time into poker, I really want to start earning decent money again.
